On Saturday, September 24, 2011, the second annual running of the His & Hers 10K Run, Coed Relay and Fun Walk will take place in historic Medford, New Jersey. We are seeking the support of area businesses to make this a successful fund raising event.

Why should you, as a business, consider sponsoring this race? Sponsoring this race supports the One Way 2 Play Assembly Program. One Way 2 Play is a systematic program developed to confront the problem of drug use among students by instilling values, encouraging goal-setting and establishing accountability through positive peer pressure. One Way 2 Play brings a unique assembly to area high schools for the purpose of promoting a drug and alcohol free school environment particularly among high school athletes. OW2P is an effective program because professional athletes and world renowned speakers deliver the message.

Today's youth idolize professional athletes and celebrities and listen to what they have to say. These professional athletes and dynamic presenters speak from personal experience emphasizing the importance of living a life free of alcohol and drugs. Their gripping testimonies and brutal honesty touch kids and help to influence their decisions to not participate in destructive behaviors. These assemblies involve audience participation and according to high school principals and guidance counselors, they reach students in ways that other anti-drug programs do not.

We expect to have 300+ participants in the 10K Race, Coed Relay and Fun Walk combined, in addition to several volunteers and spectators. Your support of this effort should yield your business great advertising exposure, as well as, send the message that you support the community. What better way to show your care and concern for your community and our young people than to support a successful anti-drug program that reaches your customers and their families?
